Germany has a dozen international airports, being Frankfurt the most important one. Other cities with international airports are: Hamburg, Colony, Düsseldorf, Munich, Berlin, Hannover, Bremen, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Dresden and Leipzig.

Germany has an extensive network of freeways and state highways. There is a speed limit in the freeways, but it’s recommended to circulate between 100 and 130 km/h. In the highways the limit is 80 -100 km/h and in the urban circuits of 50 km/h. Is obligatory the use of the lap belt and to have the driving licence in use. The Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil Club (ADAC) offers an attendance service 24 hours a day.

The railway network is directed by the Deutsche Bahn DB. The most luxurious service is InterCityExpress, while the fastest are InterCity and EuroCity. InterRail and EuroRail international cards are accepted. It also can be bought control tickets, that combines trains, buses and boats.

Many cities have individual bicycle paths in his main arteries. Rent a bicycle in the railroad stations is the cheapest way to get one. You can find what stations had this service in the Fahrrad am Bahnhof guide.

Urban transport
Subway: Several German cities have subway networks, denominated U-Bahn, while the neighbourhoods trains are known like S-Bahn. In Berlin, it covers the downtown and there are cards and tickets for several trips at a cheaper price. Others cities with subways are Bonn - in fact, a street cars service that becomes subway in the downtown -, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich, among others.
Bus: All the German cities have excellent urban buses networks that combine his passages with the neighbourhoods buses and trains, the subway network and the street cars lines. Central stations usually are near train stations. All the cities had common tickets for the different transportation and discount cards.
